Growing a Local Food Co-op

A Community Invitation

Hi, I’m a local gardener with a dream:
To turn my hobby of gardening into a community-run food co-op that feeds our town and supports the people who grow, manage, and eat together.

🥕 What I Have:

1/2 Acre ready to work, with room to expand
Healthy soil, no pesticides or herbicides since at least 2019
Labor, and dedication
A deep love for growing food

🧺 What’s Missing:

A way to get the food to people
Partners with business sense or organizational drive
Folks who care about local food, sustainability, and community resilience

🌾 What I’m Dreaming Of:

A small, local food co-op — one that starts simply:
Seasonal veggie boxes or a small farm stand
Community-supported memberships
A shared mission: fresh food, fair work, mutual benefit

Eventually, maybe even:
A storefront
Food preservation days
Local producers banding together

💬 Who I’m Looking For:

People who resonate with any of this:

"I’ve always wanted to be part of something real."
"I love local food but don’t want to farm."
"I’ve got experience with business, marketing, or organizing."
"I want to feed people, not corporations."

Whether you’re a potential co-founder, volunteer, or just curious, I’d love to connect.

Contact me if you're interested or know someone who might be.
Even one good conversation could plant the seed of something amazing.
